Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Contract/1099/Independent Contractor)

Job Location: Wilkes County Health Department - 306 College St. Wilkesboro, NC 28697

Hours: 3 days per week 8:30-5:00 (no weekends)

Pay: $75.00 per hour - We offer professional liability insurance at no cost to provider.

Description of Duties: The primary purpose of this position is to perform Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant services in the health department primary care clinic which includes Adult Health, Child Health, Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program, Family Planning, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases Programs. This provider will perform histories, examinations, diagnosis, treatments, counseling, referrals, and follow-ups.

No maternal health patients. Primary Care and Public Health experience preferred.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • NC unrestricted license for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active DEA
  • Immunization Record
  • Background check
